Food + Body: A Counseling Program
There is a way out of this struggle.
Create a new relationship with food + make peace with your body.
Food – If you have an unhealthy relationship with food, and eating is feeling out-of-control, you can address it before it becomes more problematic.
Bingeing, defined in Food + Body counseling, doesn’t necessarily equate to large amounts of food consumed. Instead, it’s defined here simply as out-of-control eating.
Body – If your thoughts and judgments about your body are always, or often, running in the background and causing you distress, you can break free from this painful pattern.
Feeling dissatisfied, discouraged, or disgusted with your body can feel like a big issue, or can grow into one. If it preoccupies you and is upsetting, painful, and causing trouble, that is what’s important, and you can learn to relate to your body in a healthier, happier way.
The Food + Body program – I offer a unique counseling approach and support for clients who are struggling with food, out-of-control eating, and body dissatisfaction, but who are otherwise functioning ok in their lives. F+ B is designed for mild- and moderate Binge-eating Disorder, too.
The Food + Body counseling program is based on years of experience as a counselor, helping clients with such issues. F+B is based on what works, grounded in solid research.
I carefully designed the program to empower clients to find their way through this struggle to a place of ease with food and their bodies—and to a new sense of peace with themselves. This approach is highly tailored to the individual.
F+B weaves together:
Food + Body helps you learn to identify the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that have kept the struggle going, and shift your response to them —for relief, and a new ease and peace, regarding food, eating, and your body.
Questions to ask yourself when considering Food + Body:
Other than the distressing relationship with food and concerns about your body, are you functioning ok? If so, counseling for a healthy relationship with food will move you into a place of new freedom with food, yourself, and your physical body. (Disclaimer: In cases where the eating problem is deemed severe, and telehealth counseling is not appropriate, referrals will be offered.)
Work with me in a gentle, supportive, confidential process that will free you of the mental and emotional upsets and repeating cycles that are keeping you stuck in dysfunctional relationships with food and your body.
You will, through Food + Body Counseling:
What’s Included:
10 powerful sessions (11 hours), with me as your trusted guide, supporter, and counselor:
What kind of support is provided?
In addition to the 11 hours of counseling, there is much more offered that’s strategic to our work, through the five months it spans: I will be available to you between our sessions, via email. Tools, materials, and other resources will be provided, too. You’ve got this—and I’ve got you!
Why is the series this length?
The intention is that it’s to be completed over about a half year, to truly allow you to integrate the changes you make for permanent success. This design has been found in the research and in my experience with clients to be most effective and supportive.
How often do we meet?
Weekly at first, then, later through our time together, we will taper down to every two weeks. Again, this schedule has been shown to yield the best results.
What is the cost, and are payments accepted?
INVESTMENT = $1,320. Yes, a payment plan is available.

Thank you, Chere, for the difference you helped me to make in my own life. I’m now living a happy (and binge-free!) life. I continue to have a healthy relationship with food. I have had a few slips, but I knew from our work on this that it can happen. So I didn’t let it trip me up. Now, at this point, I can’t even remember the last time I binged. I continue to work on having a healthy view of my body, too.
